South of Downtown/Centro Puerto Vallarta and the Rio Cuale is a fabulous little area and where our main office is located. This area is known by many names, from the Southside, to Zona Romantica/Romantic Zone, Old Town Vallarta, to Colonia Emiliano Zapata. No matter what you chose to call it, most people call it their favorite area of the entire city.
Our office is located less than five blocks from the Famous Los Muertos Beach, home to many beach-side bars and restaurants, the fishing and water taxi pier, beach vendors, parasailing and banana boat rides and some of the best people watching locations around. Along the way to Los Muertos Beach, you can stroll down Basilio Badillo, also known as Restaurant Row, meander into some great little shops and art galleries, stop for a coffee or some gelato, have a massage or a manicure or head to Olas Altas for more shopping and dining options.
This area has plethora of places to explore and we are sure you will declare it your favorite too! Many of our clients choose to get dropped off at our office after zip lining on the canopy tour so they can spend time exploring the area. If you are visiting via a cruise ship, combining our canopy shore excursion tour with some “on your own exploring” of this quaint area is a great choice.
The streets of Vallarta are very safe and the area is easy to navigate. Ask for a map at our office. No worries, Taxis are plentiful as are buses. If you have any questions on where to go or how to get back to the ship, your hotel, Nuevo Vallarta or beyond, feel free to ask us.
